About This Campus

The Burlingame, CA campus of Lydian Academy is a 7,200-square-foot facility with an open floor plan and individual study pods. This modern Northern California campus is nestled in the heart of downtown Burlingame, with easy access to retail shops, coffee bars, restaurants, Highway 101, and Caltrain.

Our Burlingame private middle and high school offer the same customized learning programs as our other facilities and is one of the best locations for students. Lydian Academy offers an educational experience for 6th-12th grade students that is centered around the student, both online and on campus.

Customized Learning in Burlingame, CA

Every student at Lydian Academy can take advantage of the options available to customize their education experience and discover a love of learning that can support their personal achievement. All of our facilities, faculty, and courses are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

In-Person Learning at Our Burlingame Campus

Students who would benefit from a one-on-one learning model can attend our Burlingame, CA campus in person. Local students can enjoy interaction with their peers in a welcoming community setting, and take advantage of homework support in person or in virtual student groups.

With full-time school enrollment or part-time schooling on campus, and summer school programs available, young people can have the best of all options and complete their coursework in a supportive environment tailored to their preferences.

Virtual Learning for Middle and High School Students in Northern California

Lydian Academy also offers one-on-one sessions for students who travel or prefer to complete their studies from home. Working at their own pace with a teacher who recognizes their strengths and challenges often allows students who struggled in other settings to truly thrive.

We also offer a Courses on Demand program with Advanced Placement (AP) courses and other college prep subjects, with flexible start dates and in-person or online classrooms. Students can mix and match formats and attend classes all year if it fits their learning style and educational goals.

Meet Christiana Cassio

Principal, Lydian Academy, Burlingame, CA

A Bay Area native, Christiana was born and raised in San Mateo. She graduated from Cal State East Bay with a B.A. in Communications and post-graduation began working at Radio Disney, focusing on promotions and marketing. After four magical years working with the company, Christiana made the decision to follow her true passion and earned her M.A. in Education with an emphasis in counseling at San Jose State University.

In 2011, Christiana began her career in 1:1 education and has seen firsthand the value of a customized program. Joining the Lydian family and opening a campus in her community seemed like a natural next step for her.

In her free time, Christiana enjoys spending time with her family and their French bulldog, Mr. Chase. Together they enjoy traveling, cheering on the Giants, Niners, and Warriors, and watching Wheel of Fortune!
